Is there any way back for the Mac?
THE footballing future of Ciaran McDonald is once again a major talking point among the county’s legions of fans following his omission from Mayo’s championship panel last week and his subsequent statement in a national daily newspaper The Crossmolina star revealed that he is willing and able to wear the green and red once again, but maintains that he wasn’t invited to join up with the squad as they continue preparations for the upcoming championship campaign.

McDonald was spoken to insists O’Mahony

MAYO manager John O’Mahony has refuted allegations made by former All-Star footballer Ciaran McDonald last week, that he or his management team did not contact the player regards any possible involvement with this year’s county senior football team, stating that Ciaran, like many other players, was not alone spoken to but invited to participate in trial games arranged by the Mayo management.
