Great races in Ballinrobe
SIR – Once again, the family outing to Ballinrobe Races was a most enjoyable experience.
The recent enlargement and updating of all the facilities were deeply appreciated and drew several favourable comments from the large crowd at the recent evening meeting.
The overall general setting of the course combined with its many extra comforts and facilities make it one of the most popular racing venues in Ireland.
The considerable glass features are also a special attraction, as well as the start-to-finish view of each race.
Great credit is due to the organising committee and its popular chairman John Staunton. A special word of appreciation to energetic race course manager John Flannelly. Through their combined efforts, perseverance, tenacity and foresight, they have established a racing venue of the highest order and standard.
Congratulations and well done to all concerned. The friendliness of the stewards and staff is also deeply appreciated.
The extra internal seating facilities, extended electronic services plus the excellent catering and parking facilities add greatly to the overall appeal and atmosphere of this delightful racing venue.
